About The Role
The Estimator's role involves carrying out the estimation for buildings following small to large scale damage caused by insurable events.
The role entails working closely with our claims & repair team as well as customers, clients and partner trade network associated with Bay Building Services.
Tasks Include:
- Conducting site assessments to determine cause of damage, scope of works and costings
- Determining policy coverage in accordance with client agreements
- Write scope of works and associated reports to KPI deadline
- Liaising with client, customer and Claims Coordinators with any SOW or report related queries
- Liaising with internal teams to book in trade attendances (subcontractors and/or specialists)
- Maintaining an awareness of SLA (service level agreement) and KPIs
- Conduct risk assessments on the potential high risk and hazardous components of each project
- Supervision of small jobs to ensure continuity and support to the team

- Organisational abilities to liaise on multiple files at any one time
- Multi-tasking with the ability to triage and prioritise accordingly
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of building regulations and Australian codes and standards
- Construction knowledge including processes and pricing
- Intermediate computer skills including MS applications
- KPI driven and task focused
- Full Driving license is essential
