About the RoleThe Estimator/Supervisor is required to estimate and deliver repairs for multiple, small, medium and large domestic and commercial construction repairs. Working alongside the Project Coordinator,  the Estimator/Supervisor is responsible for the timely completion of budget breakdowns for the tender process, then upon authority of repairs, working onsite to deliver repairs/contraction at these sites.The Estimator/Supervisor, in conjunction with the Project Coordinator is responsible for engaging trades, preparing schedules and managing the budgets to ensure the timely delivery of quality projects to our clients. The Estimator/Supervisor is predominantly a multi-site based role, which is responsible for all site based operations such as quality assurance, customer service and ultimate delivery of set budgets and construction schedules.  Key activities (include but are not limited to the following):Compile and deliver detailed scope of works Compile and deliver accurate budget breakdowns, to allow successful tender results and profitable delivery of construction worksPlan, schedule and drive multiple small to medium domestic and commercial construction repairs Ensure trades/suppliers adhere to purchase orders, SOW's and quote requestsEnsure the delivery construction schedules are metEnsure budgets are met to ensure profitability on jobs.Request engagement of new trades and suppliers via company procurement processDrive and monitor and adhere company safety processes on all jobsAccurately forecast and achieve monthly latest forecasted completion dates, to ensure revenue targets are metHave a detailed understanding and experience in the construction process, critical inspection points, permit requirements and WHS requirementsProvide accurate progress updates for internal and external use.Key Professional Skills and Qualifications (the following skills and experience are desirable):Solid construction supervision experience in medium to large, domestic and commercial construction repairsProven skills in construction estimating for building repairs to both domestic and commercial propertiesExperience working directly with clients, building consultants, and all construction related trades and suppliersAbility to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities.Strong verbal and written communication;Interpersonal skills to with an ability to deal with both internal and external customers building long term relationships.Able to develop business through quality service delivery.Experience in the insurance repair industry is beneficialThorough understanding the construction process ,critical inspection points, permit and WHS requirementsUnderstanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards.Our company places a strong emphasis on building long-standing working relationships and encouraging career progression internally.
